The pickup sounds amazing and can be very bright or nice and warm depending on where the tone control is set. Playability/Sound: This lap steel has ringing clarity and bell-like chime. Pickups/Electronics: Single coil pickup with master volume and tone controls. Nickel three-on-a-strip tuners with ivoroid buttons. Neck: Square Bakelite neck with raised white frets, white dot inlays and a 2 1/8” Bakelite nut. There is a Rickenbacker logo just beneath the fingerboard (see photos). String-through body design with Bakelite bridge and pickup cover. All electronics and parts are in great working condition.īody: Guitar shaped Bakelite body in maroon finish. The pickup shows a relatively low ohm reading but has great output and sounds excellent. The ACE logo appears to have worn off a long time ago. They extend past the end of the headstock but they function fine. The tuners are unoriginal and required drilling new holes. ![]() ![]() The neck has some scratches and there are some stocker ghosts along the fingerboard. There are scratches, nicks, dings and finish chips throughout the instrument. Condition: This is an exceptionally rare lap steel guitar and it sounds phenomenal. ![]()
